I've had my iPhone now for about 2 years and for the most part the apps I use regularly haven't really changed all that much. Granted, every now and again a game pops up and I install it, then inevitably get bored and delete it.
Here's a quick run down of the apps that I find myself checking or logging into every day;
Instagram
I have to admit to checking this more often that is probably healthy. Not only do I enjoy taking photos and sharing them, I also use Instagram to document and share my illustrations (some of which you'll see on this blog).
The number of artists using Instagram also means that it can be used a motivational tool, and as a learning tool to keep up to speed with other artists are up to. Not being at college or university means that I tend to spend very little time around other artists and Instagram goes some way to making up for this.
Facebook
It's on my phone, and I do use it, but it's certainly not something that I feel I couldn't live without!
Roamler
A fun little app that asks users to undertake various tasks as a sort of market research tool, some of which that actually pay you for doing them. The tasks are varied and so far have seen me suiting up before breakfast, earning a free Heineken, finding filming locations in Sheffield and hunting for bananas.
My favourite thing about Roamler is the fact that there is an open communication with the guys that work behind the scenes. Whenever a task is completed you receive a notification to tell you that your task has been accepted, and almost every notification is followed up by a personal message from one of the team.
Sky Safari
This doesn't get as much use as it should. It's an amazing app that labels the things you can see in the night sky, including stars, planets and I think satellites. If you have any interest in the shiny things above you and you've wondered what they are, get this app and find out!
